STG Presents Ahamefule Oluo - Now I'm Fine at The Moore Theatre in Seattle on April 2, 2016.

Comedian/musician/captivating storyteller AHAMEFULE OLUO leads a team of talented musicians in a grand-scale experimental pop opera about keeping it together. Drawing from darkly funny personal stories about illness, despair, and regeneration, Now I'm Fine ranges from intimate to epic, featuring a 17-piece orchestra and a spectacular cast of performers including Okanomodé Soulchilde, Samantha Boshnack, Josh Rawlings, Evan Flory-Barnes, D'Vonne Lewis and many more.

AHAMEFULE OLUO is a composer, comedian, and trumpet player. Oluo was the first Artist-in-Residence at Town Hall in Seattle. A longtime writing partner of comedian Hari Kondabolu, he has performed nationally with bands including Das Racist and Hey Marseilles, and is a fixture in the local and national comedy scenes. His garage-jazz quartet Industrial Revelation won the 2014 Stranger Genius Award. Oluo lives and works in Seattle.

Industrial Revelation Album Release

Tickets: http://genius.fryemuseum.org/calendar/oct-09-decade-9pm

Celebrating their tenth anniversary as a band, and the release of their new album, Liberation and the Kingdom of Nri, Industrial Revelation presents this, one of two, premiere performances.

Industrial Revelation is drummer D'Vonne Lewis, grandson of Seattle R&B pioneer Dave Lewis (1938–1998); bassist Evan Flory-Barnes; trumpeter Ahamefule J. Oluo; and keyboardist Josh Rawlings. Together they forge an easily accessible yet difficult-to-categorize sound that merges elements of jazz, hip-hop, electronica, and the indefinable. The individual members’ key strengths are mastery of their chosen instruments, sophisticated yet earthy compositional skills, and their backgrounds in both formal study and persistent live performance backgrounds.
